A beginning


So how do you start a blog?

I have been watching people put things on the net for a long time, about things they have given a steampunk look. and decided that its time to show some of the thing im doing.

If you arent sure what i mean by 'steampunk look' then mabey this will help . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk or just google steampunk in the image search, youll get the idea pretty quick.

There will be some step by step pictures, but im not terribly good at documenting builds. expect gaps and jumps in the updates.

Turbine and old fireplace

The turbine is nearing completion. The disks are all chosen, spacers made and checked. ive ended up with 6 disks. the topmost will have some magnets on it, to drive a wheel outside the turbine housing. the outside wheel , having a matching set of magnets on it.



at least im pretty sure thats how its going to happen.

also started sanding down the old fireplace timber for the deskfan base. taking longer than i thought it would. but almost done. Have changed how thats going to be made now too.

i'll put some pics up tomorrow, im tired
